Melissa Oliver, M.S., LMFT is a graduate of Oklahoma State University's Marriage and Family Therapy program. She has been practicing therapy since 2010. She became a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in 2013. She is trained to work with individuals, couples and families.
Melissa has received training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy through an accredited Externship, Core Skills training, and group supervision. Most recently she has received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a highly effective treatment for trauma. Melissa is nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Melissa won the Oklahoma State University College of Human Sciences Rising Star award in 2019. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Oklahoma State University in child development. Melissa is a state approved supervisor for LMFT candidates. She is also a nationally approved supervisor through.
Melissa is married and has four sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and all things Christmas. Melissa is actively involved in Sunnybrook Christian Church. She is very comfortable incorporating themes of faith into counseling sessions.
Melissa charges $130 per session and $165 for an intake session as a discounted rate for private pay clients. In addition to private-pay she takes HealthChoice, Stillwater Collaborative Care, and Web TPA. She will provide documentation for those clients who wish to bill out of network for other insurance companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield.
