SKYLAR
Skylar believes that healing begins in a space where people feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. She is deeply empathetic, compassionate, and warm, valuing each person’s story and the courage it takes to seek support. She views clients as the experts of their own stories and works collaboratively with them to foster growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
As a Master’s student in Mental Health Counseling at Oklahoma State University, Skylar builds on her undergraduate background in Biology/Allied Health to take a holistic approach to care, recognizing and valuing the strong connection between physical and mental health.
Skylar welcomes clients from all walks of life and is especially passionate about working with those who have experienced trauma. She is committed to walking alongside her clients as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward a fuller, more empowered life.
Outside of counseling, Skylar enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, baking, reading, and exercising. She is actively involved in her church and is comfortable integrating faith into her practice for those who desire it.
As an intern, Skylar utilizes an income-based sliding scale for her clients.
